The competition system for all archers

NATIONAL TOURNAMENTS INTERNATIONAL ROUND


Goal: to have a archers in the system that all archery activity is based on
Rules: IAA
Judges: at least 1 national IAA judge must be employed
Duration: 1-2 days tournaments with or without finals
Other requirements: None
Goal: to have international tournaments between countries near to each other.
Requirements: participants from minimum 2 nations
Fee payable to IAA: none
Registration: freely
Invitation sent to IAA: not a must
Results: published on www.hdh-iaa.net
Number of organized competitions/year: not limited
Organizer: IAA membership required
Experience: experience of national level competition is requested
Judges: at least 1 IAA judge must be employed
Duration:1-2 days tournaments with or without finals
Awards: 1-3 places medals by organizer
Registration fee: 10-20 Euros recommended
Classes and divisions: organizer has to indicate on invitation (possibly all classes and divisions)

ARChallenge

Goal: The ARChallenge is providing extra incentives for archers to participate in IAA tournaments. Name and a format that clearly defers from other names and formats. 

Rules: by the HDH-IAA rule book
Requirements: the organizing country’s member is actively organizing the IAA archery life in the country and the participation on other nations competitions.
Minimum guaranteed number of home country participation: 30 archers
Fee payable to IAA: 13% of registration fees, but minimum 500  Euros.
Registration: only on IAA homepage
Invitation sent to IAA: at least 10 months before the competition with all details: place, date, accommodation, number of targets.
Results: published on www.hdh-iaa.net, must be sent to IAA within 6 hours from end the competition
Number of organized competitions/year: 3 disciplines/year
Organizer: IAA membership required
Organizer’s experience: experience of successful national and international rounds competition is requested.
Judges: at least 1 international IAA judge must be employed. (1/150 archers)
Duration:
*3D rules for 2 days or 2x20 targets one day, no finals
*Hunting rules 3X8 targets ranking + elimination round.
*Historical rules: 2 day competition, first day 21 (7 targets tactical, 7 targets 3D 7 targets target faces) or 24 (8 targets tactical, 8 targets 3D 8 targets target faces) up to organizer to choose21 or 24 targets for ranking day. Secound day individual and team finals.
Awards: Every participant completing the tournament receives special medals
Medal ceremony according to schedule, every participant is called to podium and receives medals, the first 3 gold, silver, bronze the others white colored.
Medals are designed to fit each other meaning that you can add the medals you got from different legs and disciplines of the competition and get a bigger medal if you managed to participate 3 legs of any of the disciplines or combined. Medals are provided by IAA.
Registration fee: 30-60 Euros recommended (in case of sponsorship lower)
Classes and divisions: organizer has to indicate on invitation (preferably all classes and divisions)
Other requirements: deposit fee paid to IAA as latest 12 months before event and signs a contract at same time. It is equal to the minimum fee and will be deducted from the 13% fee payable after the event.
Bid supplied to BOD or GM 1 year before event. With exact place and date of event, organization responsible for the event. Presentation of the working team by function in team, name and contact at least to the head of the team.
Technical Director (TD) must be appointed by IAA from same country if available. TD is an English speaking fully knowing the rules and has experience in organization and course building.

CONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIPS


Goal: to have very high quality international tournament every odd year between member countries. Open for all members.
Rules: IAA
Requirements: the organizing country’s member is actively organizing the IAA archery life in the country and the participation on other nation’s international competitions.
Minimum guaranteed number of home country participation: 50 archers
Fee payable to IAA: 13% of registration fees but minimum 3 000 Euro.
Registration: only on IAA homepage
Interest (bid) sent to the office at least 16 months before the event. BOD decides on their meeting.
Invitation sent to IAA: at least 12 months before the competition with all details:
place, date, accommodation, number of courses, entry fee etc.
Results: published on www.hdh-iaa.net, must be provided every day of the tournament, same day. Final results sent to IAA within 6 hours from end the competition.
Number of organized competitions/year: every odd year
Organizer: IAA membership required
Organizer’s experience: experience of successful national, international and GP rounds competition is requested.
Judges: at least 1 international IAA judge must be employed. (1 judge/150 archers)
Duration: 3 days qualification tournaments 1 day finals and awards, according to rules for the event.
Awards: 1-3 places medals by organizer. If possible extra prices, prize money for biggest categories.
Registration fee: 100-200 Euros recommended(in case of sponsorship can be lower)
Classes and divisions: organizer has to indicate on invitation (all classes and divisions must be held where registration received)

Bid supplied to Board or GM as latest 1 year before event. With exact place and date of event, organization responsible for the event. Presentation of the working team by function in team, name and contact at least to the head of the team.
Technical Director (TD) must be appointed by IAA from same country if available. TD is an English speaking fully knowing the rules and has experience in organization and course building.
If event is cancelled of any reason the paid deposit fee is deducted from new organizer’s payable fee as a compensation for additional costs and not realized
revenues due to late bid and announcement of tournament.
Other requirements: Signs agreement when bid is finalized, latest 1 year before event. Deposit fee of 3 000 Euro paid to IAA 1 year before event and signs a contract at same time. The deposit will be deducted from payable 13% fee after the event. IAA provides web surface, all assistance needed. TD must be employed when organizer has not got TD in the country. TD is financed from the fee payable to IAA.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS


Goal: to have very high quality international tournament every even year between member countries. Open for all members.
Organizer’s experience: experience of successful GP rounds and Continental Champ’s is required.
All other requirements as for Continental champs.

ARCHERY JAMBOREE


Goal: to have very high quality international tournament every fourth year between member countries. At least 2 of 3 disciplines World Championships organized same time same place. Open for all with shooting license.
Organizer’s experience: experience of successful GP rounds and Continental Champ’s is required.
All other requirements as for World champs.

SPECIAL EVENTS

TRADITIONAL ARCHERY FESTIVALS


Goal: to have international traditional tournaments in member countries where other traditional rules are known.
Distance shooting, Puta shooting etc.
Rules: own rules
Fee payable to IAA: none
Registration: freely
Invitation sent to IAA: yes
Results: published on: www.hdh-iaa.net
Number of organized competitions/year: not limited
Organizer: IAA membership required
Experience: experience of national level competition is requested
Judges: at least 1 judge familiar with the tournament rules must be employed
Duration: 1-5 days tournaments with or without finals
Awards: 1-3 places medals by organizer
Classes and divisions: organizer has to indicate on invitation
Other requirements: the organizing country’s member is actively organizing the archery life in the country.
