INVITATION

On behalf of myself and the Hungarian Archery Association, I cordially invite the historical archers of Europe to the HDH-IAA European Historical Archery Championship to be held on 25-28 June 2026, at an iconic historical memorial site in Hungary, in the city of Eger, in the Castle of Eger, the city of wines.
The Championship consists of individual and international team competitions . I wish everyone good preparation and see you in Eger, the city of heroes!

(The filled age on the day of first qualification day decides the age.)

European Championship Competition:

Pre-registration is possible in advance. The registration becomes valid
only after the registration fee has been received,
and only valid registration allows participation in the competition.

Day 1 – Qualification Round
Competitors will shoot a total of 30 targets:

- 10 Classic Face Targets

  • Maximum 30 points per target
  • 1, 3, or 6 arrows per target

- 10 3D Hunter Targets

  • Maximum 30 points per target
  • 1 + 1 arrows per target

- 10 Technical Targets

  • Maximum 30 points per target
  • 1, 3, or 6 arrows per target


Day 2 – Semi-Final Round
Competitors who qualify will advance to the semi-final.

  • The semi-final consists of 18–24 targets, depending on the number of qualified competitors
  • Targets are selected from the qualification round
  • Competitors who reach the required score level in the qualification round will qualify for the semi-final

Final Round

  • The best 6 competitors from the semi-finals in each category advance to the final
  • The final consists of 6 targets, selected from the semi-final round
  • Each target category includes one “golden” target (double distance, double points):
  1. 1 Classic Face
  2. 1 3D
  3. 1 Technical

Mini age group There is no qualification, semi final, final.
Results will be announced based
on the total result of the "qualifying" round.
Cadet age group There are no finals! Qualification levels are -5% lower

Team competition finals between the Countries. The top 4 athletes from a country or nation selected from the individual qualifying rounds form a team. Team finals will be held after the individual finals:


- The team must be mixed, it must consist of at least 1 female and 1 male member.
- A maximum of 1 traditional bow with window archer can be a member of the team (if there are more traditional bow with window archers among the highest scorers, the next other bow category competitor with the most points will be added to the team)
- The woman with the most points will be included in the team in 4th place, even if her score is less than that of the 4th most scoring man.


The rules of the individual final apply to the placement of targets, with 1-1 team members per target they can shoot an arrow.
The right to "shoot" cannot be transferred to a teammate.
That is: teams of 4 people rotate on 6 targets, shooting 1-1 comma per competitor and target.

In case of cancellation, we can refund the entry fee as follows:
      - Until 01/04/ 80% refund,
      - after 01/04/ the entry fee is 50% refund.
      - After 31/05/, we are not able to refund the entry fee!

We've launched card payment on our site using Simplepay!
If you've already registered for EHistACH, simply log in and head to the competition page.
There you'll find the PAY WITH CARD button. Click it, enter your billing details, and you'll be redirected to the payment interface.
After a successful payment, you'll be sent straight back to the HDH site, where your status will immediately update to PAID.
The system will also send you a confirmation email and the invoice right away.
